A survey was conducted on 100 Paralegals, Legal assistants and legal Administers, who often have papers served on a regular basic. Asking which do they prefer, Process Servers or Sheriffs, focusing on:
1. Speed of service2.Knowledge of law3. Customer service4. Success rate5. Average cost.
78% were for Process Servers and only 19% chose Sheriffs.
Why do they feel that way? Well here's 3 great reasons why....
1.9/10 Process Servers get the job done faster! Averaging 4.8 stars overall in speed, knowledge of law, customer service, success rate and average cost.
2.Only 13% who were surveyed, felt that Sheriffs were more knowledgeable than Process Servers, while 87% felt that Process Servers were more knowledgeable. Sheriffs are focused on a multitude of things while a Process Server's main focus is the laws of documents being served.
3.While Sheriffs charge duplicate fees for multiple addresses being served, generally providing 1 service attempt, Process Servers generally provides 2-3 serves at multiple addresses for no fee at all, given distance.
